Remodelling Diamond Stud Earrings with Freshwater Pearls

At W.E Clark and Son we are regularly asked to assist our customers with remodelling their jewellery. Our customers often acquire these pieces of jewellery that have been given as a gift or handed down from a loved one. However, these pieces might not be to their taste or they simply do not want to wear them in their current form, or sometimes it will be because a piece of jewellery might have a piece missing or be damaged.

Recently, Senior Sales Consultant Pippa Reynolds had a customer who came into the store with an old pair of diamond stud earrings. They had not been worn in a long time and the customer really wanted the earrings to be redesigned into a new piece of jewellery. Together we came up with a design of a diamond and pearl drop earring.

The diamond earrings had 5mm of 9ct white gold chain attached to them using a solder, Then we had sourced two freshwater round pearls to be the drop part of the earring.

Freshwater pearls come in a variety of shapes and colours and are durable from wear and degeneration, compared to saltwater pearls.

So from a pair of diamond studs to a beautiful drop diamond and pearl earring set, the customer can now enjoy wearing these really special earrings, another great example of how W.E Clark and Son can remake or remodel old jewellery into exciting bespoke pieces.
