Lauren loves working face to face with clients and prides herself on building relationships. She is excited at the prospect of building a career within the jewellery industry and has settled in really well within her first month.

We asked Lauren some questions;

What attracted you to work in the jewellery industry?

To learn more about jewellery, especially gemstones. To develop my customer service skills and to assit people in finding their perfect items.

What is your favourite gemstones?

My favourite gemstone is Amethyst, I think they look beautiful surrounded by diamonds. I have always loved the colour purple and I really like the light lilac variation.

What is your favourite brand that we stock?

My current favourite brand is Bering. I have had a Bering watch for years and I couldn't be without it. It is simple, classy and it sparkles beautifully. The sapphire crystal glass means it is scratch resistant which is perfect for everyday wear. I get lots of compliments!

What item of jewellery would you love to own?

Since working for W.E. Clark & Son and seeing gems more closely, I really like the aquamarine, paraiba tourmaline and pink tourmaline gemstones. If I was able to own any item of jewellery it would have to be the paraiba and diamond ring. The colour is stunning, I have never seen anything like it. I think it speaks for itself...

What aspects of the role are you the most excited about?

Building relationships with customers and learning more about jewellery. I would really love to help select somebody's engagement ring, I think it is so special and an important moment for everybody.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love spending time with my family and friends. A perfect day would be relaxing on the beach with a couple of hours shopping in the afternoon. I'd finish the day with a meal out and then home to watch a film or a couple of episodes of Friends! I enjoy playing sport, including netball, tennis and stoolball. I also love to travel, I have many destinations to cross off my list!
