Expert Jewellery and Watch Valuation Service

We are asked on many occasions, 'do I really need a valuation, or can you give me an approximate valuation for this item'. The answer to these questions does require some explanation.

A professional organisation such as ourselves will always offer the best advice, as the consequences of poor advice in relation to valuation of jewellery and watches can be dramatic. We use the services of an expert jewellery and watch registered valuer. Julian our registered valuer has trained for many years, and is also a gemmologist, to become an expert in his field. Being held to the exacting standards of the JVA- the Jewellery Valuers Association means Julian must work to strict exacting standards.

Very often customers in-store would like a valuation figure for an item there and then. It really is not good enough to just give that figure over there and then, not to be obstructive. A professional valuation schedule is a considered and well researched document, that is unbiased as to where the item(s) was obtained. The final valuation figure will in many cases be used as a figure by which the item is insured in the case of loss, and a replacement will be required or a settlement.
