    Recently, a customer commissioned a small ladies signet ring version of her grandfather’s ring. As you can see our hand engraver copied the initials exactly.

  3. Tourmaline- A story of patience

    We have been designing unique and individual jewellery for over 40 years. There is something very special about knowing that you own a one-off piece that you will not see anywhere else in the world. This story started a couple of years ago, when David Clark (4th Generation Owner) and Daniel Blackford (Director) were on a gemstone buying trip. Having done this for 20 years we both have a lot of experience in dealing with fine gemstones. Sometimes we will buy gemstones, knowing that they will make spectacular jewellery, but not always having the final design in mind there and then.

  4. Bespoke Tanzanite Necklace

    Our most recent bespoke creation is a beautiful tanzanite necklace for one of Lauren's customer in our Uckfield branch.

    The name "tanzanite" reflects the gem’s geographic origin. The world's only known commercial tanzanite deposit is in northern Tanzania. The mines are all located in an area of about eight square miles in the Merelani Hills, near the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Tanzanite is an exotic gemstone, it is rarer than diamonds and varies between lush blue, vibrant violet and rich purple. Tanzanite is also the birthstone for December.

  9. Night and Day Ring

    At the beginning of the New Year, we were thrilled to have been given a rare type of hinged swivel ring to restore. A typical piece from the art deco period, this type of jewellery item may also be referred to as a “Night and Day Ring”. The main function of this type of ring was to allow the wearer to match the colour of their jewellery according to the outfit they were wearing on a given occasion.
