Mrs Cowley had come to us looking to find a matching pendant to wear with her beautiful emerald and diamond three stone ring that she had purchased from us some years before.
It had been on her mind for some time and she had decided that she would finally treat herself to the finishing touch to her jewellery collection
Her ring has a stunning oval cut emerald set to the center with one round brilliant cut diamond set to each shoulder. The ring itself is set in 18ct yellow gold with the two diamonds set in contrasting 18ct white gold to enhance their brilliance.

Upon bringing the ring into us we set about trying to find something suitable to match Mrs Cowley's ring. We decided that in order to achieve the look that she wanted we would need to create something bespoke for her. Choosing pieces from our existing collections we decided that a simple emerald and diamond pendant was the best choice. After much deliberation Mrs Cowley decided on an oval emerald to match her own, set with a single diamond to the top in a complimentary nod to her ring.
The first step was to source a matching emerald, not an easy task as Mrs Cowley's emerald was of exceptional colour and clarity. Two were found after looking through several others to find the perfect match. Following this the diamond was sourced, measuring the existing diamonds set to the existing ring and grading them for a perfect colour match, a suitable diamond was chosen from one of our hand selected diamonds. Mrs Cowley was invited back into store to view the emeralds and the diamonds, and make sure that she was happy with the overall design.

pendant components

Now time to assemble the perfect setting; Mrs Cowley had already looked at our existing pieces and had decided that she wanted to have the pendant set in all 18ct white gold with a fixed halter. Each component (the halter, diamond setting and the emerald setting) had to be pieced together to create the soild mount before the gemstones could be set. Our craftsman Scott set each gemstone and then finished the pendant off with a rhodium finish and polish before releasing it back to us to source a chain. The whole process took 5 weeks to create. We invited Mrs Cowley into view her unique pendant and choose a chain to match it. She chose a lovely fine 18ct white gold chain that showed the pendant off beautifully, just fine enough to really highlight it. She was absolutely thrilled that she had finally managed to find her perfect pendant and left the shop beaming with her creation.
