Sentimental Gold
Recently a customer enquired as to whether a number of her old rings could be melted down and used to make one new ring. The old rings had a lot of sentimental value and rather than simply sell them in favour of something brand new, our customer wished to use them to create something really special.
This is the process our master jeweller took, starting with the original rings:

The jeweller applies the heat of the intense flame from his torch to start melting the gold rings:

The molten gold in the crucible is then poured into the shape tool:

The basic shape of the band of the ring is now created, and left to cool before the gold can be finally shaped:
